Meet Mariam Khan

Hi everyone! I’m Mariam Khan, mom to Ilyas (2nd grade) and Anaya (1st grade), along with almost two year old twins who we hope will be future ATS stars one day.

I’m serving as your PTA Secretary this year. In this role, I prepare the meeting minutes from our PTA meetings so families can stay informed about the discussions, decisions, and initiatives happening at ATS. It’s a small but important way to help keep our community connected and aware of the work being done to support our students, teachers, and school.

What I love most about ATS is the diversity of the community and the strong relationships between families, teachers, and staff. The teachers and administration are incredibly approachable and there’s a real spirit of collaboration to support every child’s growth and success.

I’m a proud Arlington native and actually attended McKinley Elementary School, which is now where ATS is. My old locker is even still there! After moving around quite a bit while my husband served in the Air Force, we ultimately realized there’s nothing quite like Arlington and were excited to settle back here. I’m grateful to be part of such a wonderful community and look forward to finishing out another great year at ATS!
